Day 4: Breakfast. After breakfast, Pay a visit to Wat Si Saket, the oldest temple still standing in Vientiane and home to almost 7000 Buddha images. Then travel 25 minutes south of Vientiane to see the famous Buddha Park next to the Mekong River. You are free evening to explore the night market along the Mekong River, this evening; maybe join your fellow travelers for dinner tonight.

Visit a Elephant Camp, can ride elephant here, a 30 minute drive south from Luang Prabang, the UNESCO World Heritage City. Option, to watching sun set after dinner, at Mount Phou Si. It is situated right in the center of Luang Prabang. At the top, you will see the beautiful temple Wat Tham Phousi and get amazing views of Luang Prabang and surrounding areas. Tourists are packed at the top. Watching the sunset in Luang Prabang is an awesome experience.

Day 17: Breakfast: After breakfast, boat cruise to Pak Ou Cave and then visit a large Hmong Village by the Mekong River. All day trip. Return to Luang Prabang evening. You are free to explore night market, and have dinner with fellow travelers.

Day 20: Breakfast. Get ready to climb 2 hrs 30 minutes hiking to the top of a mountain to view the Vang Vieng valley. You are welcome to bring water, dress comfortable, and tennis shoe. A bit windy on the top. Snacks, papaya tam xum, and water, and soda might be available for sale. 1 hrs max on the top. It will take another 2 hrs 30 minutes to come down. Snacks available for sale at the entry rest area. Restroom available at the entry gate. A fee is charged to use restroom. Bring a small bill like 2,000 kips. We will go to the Blue Lagoon #1, 25 minutes drive from this mountain. Prepare to swim, and Z-line, climbing steep hiking to see a cave. Many food vendors are available here. You can buy swimming clothes and towels here if you forgot your or don’t have one.

When the war ended, the PDR leaders had large wooden chalets built outside their caves, and these are now surrounded
by memorial gardens.

The narrow entrance-ways to the caves are concealed under overhanging rocks; the recesses are divided into rooms connected by tunnels…living quarters for the generals and their wives, children’s bedrooms, guards’ quarters, dining room, study, bathroom, etc., even a garage.

a ‘hospital’ and a large theatre where entertainment kept people sane and the highlight of life was a wedding -that and
watching the evening display of tracer gun ammunition across the sky, an eerie ‘firework’ display. All this and much, much
